05 — QUICK ANSWERS

Third-party inspection questions.

How is third-party inspection different from the supplier’s own QC?+

The inspection scope is approved by the buyer and the findings are reported to the buyer. Supplier statements are identified separately from independently observed evidence.

Can you inspect against our drawings and checklist?+

Yes. Current drawings, specifications, purchase orders, approved samples and buyer checklists can define the written scope when the required checks are feasible on site.

When should a third-party inspection take place?+

The timing depends on the purchasing risk. A visit can be planned around production status or before shipment, but readiness and access must be confirmed before attendance.
